Pam Joiner, EA

Pam bought a Padgett franchise in 1997 with territory covering the tri-county area of Brandon, Madison, and Jackson. Pam serves as President of Small Business Services, Inc which is her legal corporate name doing business as Padgett Business Services.

Pam first fell in love with accounting by taking a bookkeeping class in high school and at that point set her sights on becoming an accountant and owning her own business one day. Pam graduated from The University of West Florida with a BA in Accounting. While earning her degree, she interned with 2 CPA's located in Pensacola and gained a tremendous amount of practical real life experiences in accounting, payroll, and tax preparation. After graduation she went to work in the accounting department of Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. When her husband, Jim, was transferred to Jackson, MS she went to work for the Public Employees Retirement System in their accounting department for 9 years. When the opportunity presented itself to buy an accounting franchise she did not hesitate to pursue her desire of owning her own business and providing a service and understanding to her clients of their own businesses.

Pam earned Enrolled Agent status shortly after starting her franchise business which is issued by the Internal Revenue Service and allows her to represent her clients before the IRS.

Jim Joiner, EA

Jim serves as the Vice-President of Small Business Solutions, which is the corporate name for the Padgett-Brandon franchise. Jim has held that position since coming to work with Pam in July of 2001. Jim spent 20+ years in the electronic distribution industry and left that industry after surrendering to the ministry. Jim is an ordained minister with the Southern Baptist denomination and is still active in the pastorate.

Jim holds a BA in Business Administration from Belhaven University. His focus is on accounting clients, as he uses his long-term experience as the general manager of a seven-store southeastern wholesale distributor as well as his formal education to help small business owners maximize their profits and minimize their tax liability.

Jim carries the EA (enrolled agent) designation and is eligible to represent all clients, business and personal, before the IRS.

Kimberly Spencer

Before joining the Padgett Business Services team, Kimberly studied business education and accounting at Mississippi College. She worked for a prominent HOA Management Company in the Jackson area as the accountant/bookkeeper for the 32 HOA's they managed. She worked for the State of Mississippi as an auditor and First Commercial Bank as their Staff Accountant. When not working, she loves spending time with her three children, her grandson and her 4 cats. In her spare time, she also enjoys reading, spending time with friends and taking long walks on the nearby nature trail.

Amtisha Tew

Amtisha Tew is the payroll clerk at Padgett - Brandon, and the newest member of the team. She attended Hinds Community College and USM, majoring in general accounting. She has mainly been in the retail world managing stores, people, and merchandise.

In 2022, Amtisha was hired by a construction company in the accounting department, taking her back to her accounting roots. She rediscovered her love for the world of finance! Not only was her experience a refresher of what she learned in college, but she gained new skills and experience that helped her get promoted to the payroll clerk there.

Amtisha enjoys meeting new people, learning new things, and is very excited for what the future holds for her at Padgett - Brandon!
